Za’Kais Ka’Zari Dansberry passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2026 at seven months old.
Za’Kais came into the lives of his loving parents, Kam’ron Dansberry and Deliah Childs, on January 24, 2026 in Williamsburg, Virginia. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he brought into our lives was immeasurable. Za’Kais had already developed a personality all his own. He was a happy, lovable baby who enjoyed some of life’s sweetest and simplest pleasures—eating good, sleeping peacefully, being loved on, sticking his tongue out & spending time in the arms of his family.
For such a little guy, Za’Kais sure had a lot of names! Kai, Chunk, Chunky Man, Lil Man, Stinkabutt—and probably a few more depending on who was holding him! 💙No matter which name was called, each one represented the special bond he shared with the people who loved him most.
In just seven months, Za’Kais filled his family’s lives with countless smiles, cuddles, laughter, and precious memories. His little personality left a very big impression, and the love he brought into this world will remain in our hearts forever.
Za’Kais will be forever loved, cherished, and deeply missed by his parents, his grandparents: Jennifer Streeter, Chris and Stephanie Childs, Kendra Dansberry and Robert Bright, his aunts: Sky and Priscilla, his uncles: Lil Chris, Grayson and Richard, his great-grandparents: Doris Marie Edwards, Sheila Lynn Burks and Doris and Kenneth Dansberry, along with many great-aunts, great-uncles, and extended family and friends.
Although Za’Kais was with us for only a short time, he left a lifetime of love in our hearts. His memory will forever remain a precious part of our family, and he will be loved beyond measure and missed beyond words.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, 11 a.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA.
