Willie Madge Salyer Burke, 91, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her son's home in Smithfield, Virginia. She was born October 12, 1926 in Russell County, Virginia and died May 24, 2018 in Smithfield, Virginia; daughter of the late Robert Abraham and Bessie Alice Johnson Salyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H.C. Burke and one grandson, Joshua Glen Burke. She was a member of Sabra Chapel Church, Castlewood, Virginia. She is survived by her two daughters, Helen Sue Burke and husband, Billy of Nickelsville, Virginia and Karen Ann Burke Spencer and husband, Brad of Unicoi, Tennessee; two sons, Donald Wayne Burke and wife, Carolyn of Smithfield, Virginia and Gary Allen Burke and wife, Tammy of Smithfield, Virginia; one brother-in-law, Claude Vernon Burke and wife, Charlene; four grandchildren, Jody Burke and wife, Chastity of Nickelsville, Virginia, Sarah Spencer Hillman and husband, Clint of Gate City, Virginia, Robert Spencer of Unicoi, Tennessee and Lori Burke of Smithfield, Virginia; one great grandchild, Jessica Lynn Burke of Nickelsville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Willie Madge Salyer Burke will be conducted at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Arville Dingus, Rev. Wayne Meade and Rev. Buddy Burke officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Jody Burke, Robert Spencer, Timothy Salyer, Jeff McNutt, H.C. Burton, Sammy Banner, Darrell Hensley and Darrell Burke. Honorary Pallbearers will be Claude Burke, Billy Burke, Buddy Burke, Clayton Wallace, Doug Vicars and Dan Burke.
