William James Hayes

William James Hayes, 70, of Smithfield, entered into glory with his savior, on Sunday, March 14, 2021.  He was born September 30, 1950, the son of the late Clifton Upton Hayes, Sr. and Virginia Elizabeth Jones Hayes.  He is survived by his wife, LaRue H. Hayes; sons, Adam William Hayes (Christa) and Aaron Thomas Hayes; grandson, Titus Hayes; a sister Nancy Faison; and sister-in-law, Nancy Hayes.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Clifton “Butch” Upton Hayes, Jr. Mr. Hayes was a Mason and a Life Member to Warwick Lodge No. 336, the Mariner’s Lions Club and a member of Harvest Fellowship Baptist Church.  He worked as a Financial Planner with the Hayes Agency Inc.  A private family service will be held at a later date.
