Gene Mountjoy

W. Eugene Mountjoy, 77, of Smithfield passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.  He was born December 8, 1944 to the late John Wilbur Mountjoy and Virginia Crocker Mountjoy.  He was an honor graduate of St. Leo's College.  A quiet man with a big heart, Gene has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To know Gene was to love him and his gentle and quiet spirit.  We his family and friends will miss him greatly but “we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.” 2Cor5:8.  In lieu of flowers donations can be given to the Isle of Wight Humane Society in honor of his “Little Buddies” Walter and Coco.
