Tamara Byrd Arthur

Tamara Byrd Arthur, 48, of Surry, VA passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022.  Tammi was the daughter of Joseph Gary Byrd and the late Judith West Byrd.  She is survived by her husband of 22 years Randy Arthur; sons, Nicholas Randolph Arthur (Amy) and Kendall Alexander Arthur (Erin); sisters, Courtney Green (John) and Mary Ella Marie Mason (Matt);  a brother, Joseph Gary Byrd, II; and her nieces, Ada and Tia; a nephew, Jacob; many cousins; and her father in law Edward Arthur. Tammi was a loving wife and mother; she was dedicated to her family.  She loved the farm and their many animals.  Tammi worked as a Communications Officer for Surry, Isle of Wight and most recently Suffolk. She was a past member of the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad. Tammi was dedicated to her career and loved her coworkers.  It was through her strength, courage and positivity that she fought her battle with cancer over the past six years never losing hope. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 3 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
