Steven S. Young

Steven S. “Fuzzy” Young, age 74, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 1, 2025. He was born December 18, 1950. He was preceded in death by his loving father Arnold F. Young. Fuzzy worked for the IBEW Union for over 35 years.

Fuzzy is survived by his mother Betty Young of Newport News; his sister Debbie Young of Suffolk; and best friends Mike and Joy Young of Hawaii, Karen Urick, and Paul and Beverly Tidwell of Smithfield.

A special thanks to Shelia Beacham of Our Heart Your Home and her caregivers, Sally, Akyia, Dawn, Shelby and Madison for the compassionate care shown Fuzzy. Thank you to the Hospice nurses of Sentara Obici Hospital also.
