Stanley John Stefanowicz, Jr.

Deacon Stanley John Stefanowicz, Jr. of Smithfield died Friday, September 12 at the age of 84. Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Stan graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1959. It was there that he met his beloved wife, Pat. Stan and Pat grew in love of Christ and each other by attending Mass daily at the school.

Deacon Stan is preceded in death by daughter, Theresa. He is survived by Pat, sons Michael (Monica) of Ocoee, Florida and John (Susan) of Newport News, daughter Christine Pearl (Ken) of Glenview, IL and seven grandchildren.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, September 18 at 12 noon at The Roman Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd, 300 Smithfield Blvd, Smithfield, VA. The rosary will be prayed at 11:30am and a reception will immediately follow the Mass. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Pottstown, PA.
