Shirley Ann Roberg

Shirley Ann Chaney Roberg, 59, of Elberon, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Franklin Johnson Chaney and Charlene Jean Heimbigner Chaney. She is survived by her husband, Duane Miller Lawrence; daughters, Abigail Hakes and Heidi Hakes; a son, John Roberg; grandchildren, Sam, Ava and Willow; sister, Mary C. Asami (Hero); brothers, Leonard Chaney (Susan) and Bobby Chaney (Lynn).  Shirley was well known for her giving and loving spirit, she was always caring for others, especially young mothers who needed help.  She loved to cook and provide for people in times of need. Always putting others first.  She worked at Chippokes State Park for many years, where she was loved by co workers and visitors alike. A funeral service will be held on, Sunday, September 26, 2021, 4 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
