Shelia Marie Hodges

Shelia Marie Hatcher Hodges, 47, of Smithfield passed away on September 13, 2018.  She was the daughter of the late Freddy Lee Hatcher and is survived by her mother Evelyn Marie Dodson Hatcher.  She is also survived by her daughter Ashley Marie Hodges; brothers, Wilford Lee Hatcher (Linda), Freddy Ray Hatcher, and Rex Allen Hatcher; and a host of nieces and nephews.  Shelia was a dedicated mother.  Ashley was her pride and joy, she was the inspiration that allowed her to fight her battle with ALS.  She also enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family.  A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, the family will receives friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be announced at a later date pending weather conditions, the time will updated on the funeral home website.  The family request donations be made to www.als.org.
