Sharon Moody Edwards

Sharon Paige Moody Edwards, 70, of Smithfield, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Willard James Moody, Sr and Betty Glen Covert Moody.  Sharon is survived by her husband of 47 years, Stephen T. Edwards; daughters, Amy E. Cox (Keith) and Mary Paige E. Larsen (Nicholas); grandchildren, Reagan, Maren, Henry and Helen; brothers, Willard J. Moody, Jr (Courtney) and Paul Glen Moody (Sarah).   She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, attended Longwood College, and graduated from Smithdeal Massey Business College. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Trinity United Methodist Church, and worked in the Smithfield community for over 20 years. She loved boating, time at the beach, and was an avid reader. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 11 a.m. in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield, Va.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P O Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431 or https://www.iwvrs.com/content/Donate/.
