Sandra Joyner Armstrong

Sandra Joyner Armstrong, 74, of Smithfield, VA passed away on May 24, 2020.  She was the daughter of the late Elisha Ellsworth Joyner and Hattie Mildred Miller Joyner.  Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Arthur Thomas Armstrong. She is survived by her daughters, Lori Batchelor Taylor (James), Linda Batchelor Winstead (Terry) and Leisa Batchelor Futrell (Ralph); six grandchildren, Stephen (Stephanie), Seth (Hannah), Spencer (Allyssa), Lindsey (Josh), Thomas (Lakyn) and Megan; three great grandchildren, Madison, Caroline and Adelyn.  Mrs. Armstrong was a loving mother of three girls, enjoyed reading and talking about her children and grandchildren, and loved animals.  At her request a private memorial service will be held.  in lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society,www.iowchs.org.
