Ronald Winslow Boyd

Ronald “Ronnie” Winslow Boyd, 74, of Newport News, VA passed away on July 2, 2018.  He was born in Washington, N.C to the late Winslow Cutler Boyd and Annie Estelle Waters Boyd.  Ronnie loved his family and music.  He was an excellent drummer and played in local bands in Smithfield, VA.  He is survived by his life partner Susan Boyd; daughters Lorie Boyd Weston (Ashley), Jennifer Hedrick (Sonny); grandchildren Bryce Weston, Carson Weston, Cole Hedrick, Trace Hedrick and Taylor Hedrick; sisters Bobbie Current (and the late Johnny Current) and Pam Hoff; brothers Donald (Patti), Richard, Mike, David (Debbie), Johnny Ray (Mary).  He was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Boyd. A graveside service will be held on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. in South River Baptist Church Cemetery, Statesville, NC 28625.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church Sanctuary.   Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
