Robert Winton Powell, Jr

Robert Winton Powell, Jr, 80, of Rescue passed away on August 25, 2022 in Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Robert Winton Powell, Sr and Dora Dean Hines Powell.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Louise Powell. He is survived by his; daughter, Susan Nino; grandchildren, Stacey, Brandon, Skyler, Ki’a; great-grandchildren, Braiden, Austin, Bella, Carter, Jakob, Nathan and Brandon; a sister, Blanche Bradley (George); and his dogs, Coty and Queenie. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by a son, Robert W. Powell, III. “Popples” loved working in the yard and volunteering. The family will receive friends at the residence.
