Ricky Alvin Lowery, Sr

Ricky Alvin Lowery, Sr, 58, of Surry, VA passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021 in VCU Medical Center.  He was the son of the late Alvin Franklin Lowery and Clara Pauline Plecker. Ricky is survived by his daughter, Erica Smith (William); son, Ricky A. Lowery, Jr; grandchildren, Jennie, William and Shelby; sisters, Nancy Wooten (Jamie) and Brenda Filippone (Chris); brothers, David Lowery and Warren “Herbie” Lowery; and his dog, “Lola”.  Ricky never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help others.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to the Hume-Lee Transplant Center at www.vcuhealth.org.
