Rebecca Carol Zirkle Scalf

Rebecca Carol Zirkle Scalf, 78, of Smithfield, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Carroll Winfred Zirkle and Edna Mae Whitt Zirkle. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Eugene Scalf; son, David Carroll Scalf (Helen); grandchildren, Maxim, Michael, Taya and Michelle; two sisters, Sue Jones (Robert) and Jennifer Zender (Steve); and a brother, William Zirkle (Nancy). She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Scalf.

Rebecca graduated from Logan High in Logan, W.V. Where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Larry.

She retired from Verizon as a Telephone Operator after 28 years of service. Together they built their retirement home and moved to Isle of Wight.
