Philip Ray Wells, Sr.

Philip Ray Wells, Sr, 54 passed away at his home in Ivor, VA on Friday, January 26, 2024. Philip was the son of Olivia Dee Wells and the late Ashton Lee Wells, Sr. He is also survived by his children, Philip, Jr. (Krystal), Emily (Alex), and Taylor Edwards; brothers, Tony L. Wells (Amy) and Ashton L. Wells, Jr (Kim); grandchildren, Elizabeth and Owen; nieces, April Jones (Dexter), Jessica Wells (Mike), Brittany Kearns (Michael), Laura Brewer (Josh); nephew, Walter Wells (Alex); great nieces, Jayne, Jayce and Jasmine; great nephews, Bentley, Walter, Jr., Zack, Alex, Mike Jr., and Colton. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Cindy Simpkins. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Tracy Oliver Wells and a brother, Lawrence Wells.  

Philip was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He loved his jobs and the guys he worked with. If he wasn’t at work, you could find him at home building something or adding to the house or at the 4-H lake catching bass, he knew that lake like the back of his hand. Philip was very talented in many ways he could build or design any idea that popped into his head. He also enjoyed RC cars, flying model airplanes and helicopters. Out of all his accomplishments he was most proud of his family.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, 2 p.m. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church with burial to follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
