Noretta Faye Davidson

Noretta Faye Smoot Davidson, 80, of Carrollton, passed away on January 28, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Buel Smoot and Helen Rose Herald Smoot.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph Davidson; daughters, Vicki D. Sousa (Sean) and Nora Lynn Davidson; grandson, Dylan Joseph Sousa; sister, Twilla Fulks; brother, Virgil Smoot.  She was also preceded in death a brother, Jerry Smoot.  Noretta was a teacher in West Virginia and Virginia public schools prior to opening her own private Kindergarten, Vellines Lane Kindergarten, where she taught for 25 years in Carrollton. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, 1 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield.  Online condolences may be registered at www.littlesfuneralhome.com.
