Nancy M. Babb

Nancy M. Babb, 79, of Smithfield passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.  She was the daughter of the late William Jackson Minton and Edna Mae Cook Minton.  Mrs. Babb was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Henson Babb, Sr.  She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Jones (Tommy) and Linda West (Todd); sons, John Babb Jr. (Kim) and Barry Babb (Margaret); grandchildren, Janet, Casey, Johnny, Courtney, Chris, Brandon, Michael, Matt, Ben and Kristin; many great grandchildren; sister, Anne Hunt (Glenn); brothers, Billy Minton (Donna) and Ronnie Minton (Regina).  Mrs. Babb was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin Minton and Donnie Minton. Mrs. Babb was a life long resident of Isle of Wight County, a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, and a Life Member of the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary.  She retired from Isle of Wight County Schools after 40 years of service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at East Pavilion, Franklin, with a special thanks to her nurses Linda and Bonnie. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, 11 a.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield with burial to follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
