Melvin Charles McKay, Jr, 84, of Springdale, OH passed away on January 8, 2019. Melvin was the son of the late Melvin C. McKay, Sr and Lavina Fields McKay. He was a veteran of the US Army, a retiree of Emery Industries/Henkel, and an avid bowler and golfer. He is survived by his wife of sixty years Margaret Ann McKay; daughters, Kelly (Tom) Shepherd of Newport News, VA and Becky (Gary) Kimball of Kissimmee, FL; son, Mel (Tammy) McKay III of Trenton, OH; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Pat (Jim) Agin and brother George (Ruth Ann) McKay, both of Cincinnati, OH. He was also preceded in death by brother Corwin (Barbara) McKay of Atlanta, GA. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, 11a.m. at Lockland Christian Church, 231 Mill St. Cincinnati, OH with burial to follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Lockland Christian Church.
