Melvin Glenn Brown

Melvin Glenn Brown, age 73, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died on August 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 28, 1951 in Newport News, VA to the late Robert Elmer Brown and Josie Lee Whitley. He was preceded in death by siblings, Martha Powell, Robert "Bobby" Brown, Ben Brown, Billy Brown, and Joseph Brown. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Kurtis Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Brown, daughters, Wendy McLean (Andre'), Amy Brown, Amanda Robinson (Jeremy) and Ashlie Traina (Gaetano) and son, Scott Thomas (Jessie), twenty-three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Bess Cochran (Steve) and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn attended United Electronic Institute in Louisville, KY where he received a Masters in Electronics and graduated Valedictorian. He was a current employee at United Health Group/Optum. He was an ultimate dad joke master, an avid Star Trekkie, a loving husband and father and the best Granddaddy. He was a Nascar enthusiast and attended numerous races all over the country.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Sunday September 1, 2024 at Battery Park Cemetery, Isle of Wight county, VA.
