Matthew Connor Splitstone

Matthew Connor Splitstone, 26, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.  He was the son of Deborah Watkins Splitstone and the late David Allen Splitstone. He is survived by his sisters, Charissa Kocijan (Brett) and Michelle Splitstone; and Amanda Leskody; three nephews, Avery, Ewan and Aiden; and a niece, Kylie. Matthew graduated from Smithfield High School, and recently completed his Bachelors Degree in Physics from Old Dominion University in the spring of 2019.  He had a love for classical music and was a self-taught pianist, never passing up an opportunity to stop and play the piano or keyboard.  He loved animals and especially his rescue dogs.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, 1 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA 23430.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Isle of Wight Humane Society,  www.iowchs.org.
