Marie Ellis Holland

Marie Ellis Holland, 88 of Surry passed away on October 26, 2019.  She was the daughter of the late Leroy Ellis and Willie Pat Holland Ellis.  Mrs. Holland was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William Arthur Holland. She is survived by her sons, David Holland (Renee) and Daniel Holland (Maria); grandchildren, Trevor Holland (Candice), Victoria Holland and Joana Holland; a sister, Doris Putman; and great granddaughter Braylea.  Mrs. Holland retired after many years as an insurance agent with A. L. Kelly and Son’s, she was also a member of Surry Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, 10 a.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, burial will follow in Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacon’s Castle, VA.  The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2019, form 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
