Lynn Adele Britt

Lynn Adele Hales Britt, 72, of Smithfield, gained her angel wings and went home on August 11, 2019.  She was the daughter of the late Leon Daughtridge Hales and Doris Arbell Bryant Hales.  Mrs. Britt is survived by her daughters, DeAnne Hall (Pat) and Bobbie Lynn Batchelor (Derek); son, Scott Holt (Donna); grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Travis, Daniel, Logan, Peyton and Savannah; great grandchildren, Jaymes and Kaidance; sisters, Carol Hill (Norman), Julie Charge (Randy), and Tammy Bohannan (Leroy); brothers, Douglas Hales and Bruce Jones (Ever); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Britt was an active member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church, where she worked with the children at vacation bible school, she loved to cook and feed others, worked the food bank.  She was looked to as a mother for all the children whose lives she touched.  A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019, 4 p.m. at Mill Swamp Baptist Church, Ivor, VA 23866.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org  or the ASPCA, www.aspca.org.
