Lynda Lee Culpepper Caldwell

December 19, 1944 — April 26, 2024

Lynda Lee Culpepper Caldwell, 79, of Smithfield, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Culpepper and Lucy Blanche Addison Culpepper.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Marion Conrad Caldwell; daughters, Tara Heinchon Arnett (Gabriel) and Mary Georgianna Caldwell; sons, Scott Andrew Heinchon (Leah) and Shawn Addison Heinchon (Meghan); grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Natalie, Aidan, Dylan, Nolan and Grace. She was also preceded in death by a brother Brett Culpepper.

Lyn was born and raised in Florida. She lived and worked in Texas for many years in the healthcare field. She was thrilled to retire in Smithfield two years ago. 

Lyn loved animals, especially her dog Winston. She also enjoyed cooking, and traveling the United States, as well as boating, swimming, and scalloping. She was a devoted grandmother and looked forward to annual Delaware beach trips and taking the grandkids to the boardwalk arcade. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, May 3rd at the Church Square Clubhouse, 100 Durham St, Smithfield, VA at 1p.m.
