Lula N. Addy, 97, died peacefully at her daughter’s house in Surry, VA on October 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian B. Addy, of 64 years, sons, Jerry B. Addy and Glenn R. Addy and a grandson Reid A. Addy. She is survived by her son, Gene W. Addy (Donna) of Rockford, IL and daughter Donna A. Pittman (Dickie) of Surry, VA, along with 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She lived most of he married life in Chapin, South Carolina as a loving wife and mother. She loved to sew and was an amazing cook according to her family and friends. She was an active member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church where she and her family attended to worship. For the last 11 years, she lived in Williamsburg, VA at Commonwealth Senior Living. She loved the community and was friends with everyone. You could find her walking the halls trying to find someone to talk to, at exercise class or playing bingo most of the time. She loved people and was an amazing friend, mother and grandmother. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, Chapin, SC.
