Linda Eutoka Carr

Linda Eutoka Carr, 83, a native of Norfolk, passed away peacefully on the evening of June 19, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Willie & Mary Fulgham Carr. Upon the death of her parents, she moved to Smithfield, in her late teens, living with her sister, Gladys.

Linda became a member of Bethany U/M Church, was a former member of the choir, and for many years taught the Sunday School Kindergarten Class. Her first years she taught mostly nieces and nephews, thus began the tradition of everyone calling her "Aunt Linda". She was a dedicated employee for many years at Smithfield Medical Clinic, Gwaltney of Smithfield, and Smithfield Foods where she retired.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Thacker, brother, Lawson Carr, and a number of nieces and nephews. A devoted sister and aunt, Linda is survived by her sister, Ellen Carr Edwards (Raymond), nephew Jeff Edwards (Amy). niece and nephew, Quincey and Spencer Edwards which she loved as her own, and niece Rebecca Carr Farmer (Pete); two special nieces, Melanie Edwards and DeNay Smith who did so much for Linda during her declining years. In addition, there are numerous grand nieces and nephews which will remember "Aunt Linda" for her faith in Christ, love of family, love of animals and her delicious cooking.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, June 24,2026 at 2:00 PM at Bethany U/M Church with Rev. Dr. Stephen Lee presiding. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery.
