Kathy Sue Rogers

Surry – Kathy Sue Rogers, 70, departed this life on November 3, 2026. Born on October 30, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Rex Rogers and her twin sister, Karen McNair. Kathy will be remembered through her mother Donna Ries, siblings Vicki Xinos (husband Pete) and Tarrell Ries (wife Monica), her children Matthew (wife Chrystal) and Wesley (wife Amber), her three grandchildren Allie, Brock, and Grayson, and the many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kathy Rogers touched the lives of many through her profession as a Registered Nurse. Her passion for helping people radiated through her smile that captured the hearts of everyone around her. She enjoyed the presence of her family whether around a dinner table, Christmas tree or picnic table. One of her greatest passions was the beauty of the tinniest birds, her ever favorite hummingbird. More than anything, she loved being a NanNan to her three grandchildren.

She is a beloved Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday November 7, 2026, 10 a.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service at the home of Matthew and Crystal.
