Joyce (Carol) Morris Tucker

Joyce (Carol) Morris Tucker. Age 78, passed peacefully at Riverside Regional Medical Center after an ongoing illness on Thursday, September 24, 2026. She passed with the comfort of her family by her side. She was a native of Kelford, NC, but moved to Virginia after the passing of her parents.

She was employed by Muller Martini wiring electrical boxes, known to have impeccable neat wiring. She was known for feeding the “critters” in her back yard, deer, squirrels, birds, and rabbits.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Glen Morris of NC, her husband Gregory Tucker, and grandson Eli Harvey.

She is survived by her sons Anthony Harvey (Jennifer) of Carrollton VA, David Harvey (Brianne) of Fresno California; her brother Glen Morris (Dawn Browder) of Greenville NC; grandchildren, Cody Harvey (Laurie) of Smithfield VA, Alexis Bacon (Brandon) of Newport News VA, Graham (Katie) of Ivor VA, Stephen Morris (Alexis) of Newport News VA, Conner (Morris) Gillenwater of Wilmington NC, Avery Harvey of Fresno California. She was also blessed with 7 wonderful great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Angie, Debbie, and Megan for the help they provided her over the years. You were her dear friends and she was thankful. Also, special thanks to George, her next-door neighbor who they checked in on each other daily. The family is eternally grateful for Hope Walker RN, that provided exceptional care to Joyce and to the family as well during her time at Riverside.

Service will be held at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield VA, on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 3 pm. Joyce and Greg’s ashes will be combined for eternity and laid to rest in her family cemetery in NC with a private service at a later date.
