John Boyce Wynne

John Boyce Wynne, 74, of Smithfield passed away on May 26, 2020.  He was the son of the late John Fleming Wynne and Mary Boyce Gwaltney Wynne.  John received his Bachelors Degree from Richmond Professional Institute and his Masters Degree from California Institute of the Arts.  He served in the U S Army as a Captain during the Vietnam conflict.  After his discharge he went on to a career in the movie industry designing film sets across the United States until his retirement.  John is survived by his sister, Mary Wynne Epling; nieces, Rebecca Simpson (Randy), Kendall Kimball (Terry), Anna Butch and Stephanie Copes and several cousins.  A private memorial service will be held.
