John Waverly Warren, Jr

John Waverly “Smiley” Warren, Jr, 69 of Franklin, VA passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022.  He was the son of Alda Wray Maynard Warren and the late John Waverly Warren, Sr.  He is survived by his sons, Greg Warren and James Warren; grandchildren, Kiera and Tyler; sisters, Dianne Phelps, Susan Hall (Skip) and Amy Arthur; and a brother, Randy Warren (Sharon). John retired from Fluor Daniel Construction, where he worked at the Surry Power Station as an electrician.  After retirement he worked at 7-11 in Smithfield.  He was a past member of Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, 2 p.m. at Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacon’s Castle, VA.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P O Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.
