Jeffrey Scott Campbell, 60, of Suffolk, VA passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. He died peacefully, at home, surrounded by his wife and children after a four-year battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Aubrey Randolph Campbell and Rachel Frances Shelton Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Kay Campbell; daughters, Leslie Campbell McAllister (Philip), Lindsay Morgan Wilson (Maurice), Megan Campbell Gotliffe (Blake) and Taylor Michelle Campbell; grandchildren, Emily, Brooke, Jacob, Hannah, Logan, Aubrey, Ryan, Landon, Campbell, Aubrey F., and Zuri; and a niece, Ashley Pierce Thorsen.
When you were around Jeff there was no doubt you would find him reciting his favorite rock songs all while picking the air guitar as if he were part of the band. Music became his refuge, a place where he could express emotions that words couldn’t capture. We will remember Jeff for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and amazing sense of humor. He always had a way to make light of a situation or bring a smile to your face. His fierceness and stubbornness, often seen as challenging qualities, were also his greatest strengths. He tackled life with strength, determination and resilience, especially during his battle with cancer.
For many years Jeff worked side by side with his father, Aubrey, at their cherished family business. It was Aubrey who instilled in Jeff a deep love for God, shaping his beliefs and values. This love, as well as the care from his wife and children, were the driving force that gave him extra time. Jeff took pride in ensuring his daughters knew just how proud he was of them. The love and memories we shared with Jeff will forever remain in our hearts.
