Jean Gupton Daniels

Jean Gupton Daniels, 80, of Smithfield Virginia passed away July 8^th, 2021 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Thurman Wheeler Gupton and Nellie Mae Washburn Gupton.  Mrs. Daniels is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward Ferrell Daniels Sr; daughter, Lyn Melissa Paton (Bruce); son Ed Daniels; grandchildren Jackson, Joseph, Jacob, Benjamin, Faith, Alexander, and Mia; sister Nellda Gupton.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother William Gupton, and sister Elizabeth Gupton.  Mrs. Daniels retired after thirty years as an art teacher with Suffolk County Schools.  Jean was an artist that had a passion for painting.  She was a member of Benn’s UMC.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 13^th,  2:00pm at Benn’s United Methodist Church,14571 Benn’s Church Boulevard, Smithfield with burial following at St Luke’s Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church.
