Janet Goodrich Jones

Janet Goodrich Jones, 80 of Smithfield passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 with her husband Ward by her side.   Janet was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Goodrich and Mattie Ellis Goodrich. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Richard Ward Jones Jr. and their son Richard Ward Jones, III (Frank). She is also survived by a sister Paulette Wells. Janet retired from the business office at Verizon Telephone after 40 years of service. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Mill Swamp Cemetery, Ivor, VA at 11 o’clock a.m. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield.
