Janet Adkins Black

Janet Adkins Black, 54, of Smithfield passed away on June 24, 2019 with her family by her side.  Janet was the daughter of the late Marion James Adkins, Jr. and Iris Eileen Romine Adkins.  She is survived by her husband of 31 years Thomas Larry Black; their son, C. Brandon Black and his wife Katelyn; her sisters, Jo Adkins Eisen( her twin), Louann Whitehead, Shirley J. Stone, Karen E. Osment; her brother, Michael J. Adkins (Marcia); brothers in law, Steve Black and Bobby Black; three nieces and three nephews.  Janet grew up in Wakefield, Virginia and was a graduate of Tidewater Academy.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. 6 p.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA.
