James Carroll Owens

James Carroll Owens, 78, of Windsor, VA passed away on March 27, 2022.  He was the son of the late Snowden Granville Owens and Edith Abelle Heflin Owens.  Mr. Owens is survived by his son, Keith Lee Owens (Traci); grandchildren, William, Matthew, Elizabeth; Step-children, Phifer Herrala, Jessie Stringer and Martin "Doc" Powley; daughter in law, Carla Owens.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Rodney Carlton Owens.  Jim was “one of a kind”, he was member of the Orbit Community, an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, and a member of Orbit Hunt Club.  He was a jack of all trades and could always be found repairing something mechanical around the yard. He was always willing to share his thoughts and opinions, whether you agreed with him or not, you shake hands and remain the best of friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
