Ina Kay Ilish, daughter of the late Reed and Hattie Blizzard peacefully went home to be with her Lord and loved ones on Friday, February 13th, 2026, after battling several months of illness. She was born and raised in Jenkins, Kentucky. She also lived in Maryland, Connecticut, and Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Windt; her son, David; her second husband, George Ilish; her brothers, Jervis “Junior” Blizzard and Thomas Blizzard; and her sisters, Mabel Snodgrass, Ruth Smallwood, Geraldine “Jerry” Sturmfelz, Evelyn Grelli, and JoNeil Collins.
She trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a teenager and was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting landscapes and animals. She loved her family. Her grandchildren especially put a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She is survived by her brother, Thurman Blizzard (Esther); her sons, Michael (Cheryl) and Christopher (Mary); and grandchildren, Matthew (Kenzie), Eric (Makenna), Adler, Oliver, and Lincoln.
The Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday afternoon, February 22, 2026, 3 p.m. at Smithfield Baptist Church, burial will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Dr. Patrick Wood. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 21, 2026 from 5-6 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home.
