Herbert Douglas Gray, Sr.

Herbert Douglas Gray, Sr, 80, of Smithfield passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022. He was born in Edenton, NC, the son of the late Robert Gray and Annie Miller Byrd Gray. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 25 years Linda Gray; son, Douglas Gray, Jr; daughters, Jessica Ward (Josh) and Kelly Whitley (Jorge); grandchildren, Sean (Caroline), Nick (Ally), Victoria, Olivia (Frank), Jada and Sienna; great granddaughter, Ava Jane; sister, Faye Carol Mason (Sonny). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Aycock; and his brother, Robert Gray. Herb loved his family and spending time at the Outer Banks. He was the founder of Hampton Roads Communication Technologies a business he grew and loved. He will be missed dearly by all. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, 2 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
