Grady Mark Miller, 71, of Suffolk, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. He was the son of the late Grady Eugene Miller and Shirley Pat Houser Miller. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Marie Miller; sons, Morgan Miller and his partner Richard, Travis Holt and Tyler Holt and his wife Shelia; grandchildren, Aden, Anna, Chloe, Keiona, and Tru’lie; brother, Matthew Miller and his wife Susan; sister-in-law, Karen Gregory and her husband Hal; mother-in-law, Mary Saunders Burns; his beloved sheltie, “Sailor”; and a host of nieces, nephews and many others were cherished and loved.
Grady was born and raised in Pennsylvania; he graduated from West Virginia University and enjoyed a long career at Anheuser-Busch. He joined the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad in 1989, where he served in many roles, including EVOC Instructor, Deputy Chief of Training, and President. He dedicated over thirty years of service to the citizens of Isle of Wight as an Advanced Life Support Provider. He enjoyed golf and spent many days at the Elizabeth Manor Golf Club with his closest friends. In his retirement years, he found a second family working Sentara Belle Harbour as a Tech in ED. In every aspect of Grady’s life, he was the smile in the room, his warm heart, contagious smile, and jovial personality will never be forgotten.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, 2 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield. Following the service at the funeral home all are invited to join in a procession Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, where we will have Grady’s final call.
