Gary Charles Montanye

Surry:

Gary Charles Montanye passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at his home in Surry Virginia.  He was the son of the late Walter and Beulah Montanye.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years Marilyn June Montanye; his two sons Daryl Reid Montanye (Allison), Gary Wayne Montanye (Brenda), and two daughters Robin Renee Pallett (Carlton), and Debora Ann Harris (James).  He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Jeremy, Jessica, Carlee, Nicholas, Madelyn, Tyler, and Daylin, and eight great-grandchildren. 

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army.  After his service in the Army he then went on to a successful career at General Electric retiring as a planner.

Gary was a hardworking, loving and amazing, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He always loved to tinker with things and make things work.  He had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor.  His memories will forever makes us smile, laugh, and cry.  We will forever miss his presence. 

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday August 9^th, 2019 at 6:30pm at Healing Waters Worship Center with Pastor William McCarty officiating.  Healing Waters is located at 12172 Smith Neck Road Carrollton Virginia.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday August 14^th, 2019 at 11:00am at the Alberton G.
