Garland Lee Hubble, 94, of Smithfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1931 to the late Samuel Henry Hubble and Maudie Adeline Gearhart Hubble. He was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Barbara Ann Boles Hubble and their grandson, Jonathan Berry.
He is survived by his daughters; Cathy Berry and Allison Mabry (Melvin); granddaughter Hope Renee Franks (Chase); great granddaughter Whitley Naomi Franks and a great grandson, Weston Chase Franks; sister, Phyllis Blomberg; many special nieces, nephews and neighbors.
Garland's greatest love was his family. He retired from USDA as a Meat Inspector after thirty years of service. Following his retirement he enjoyed playing golf, volunteering at Christian Outreach and the YMCA. He loved the Washington Redskins. He was a man of Faith, who loved his church, Riverview United Methodist in Rescue, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield, VA., with Pastor Leon Basham officiating.
