Frederick Wayne Taylor

Frederick Wayne Taylor, 68, of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. He was the son of the late William Asa Taylor and Betty Magnolia Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon Baucom Taylor; sons, Bobby Baucom, Robert Taylor, Brian Taylor (Kim), Billy Cossett; grandchildren, Hunter, Cheyenne and Reagan; brothers, Pete Waley (Leslie), Johnny Taylor (Cathy) and Darrell Taylor (Renee). He was preceded in death by a sister Betty Lou Hall; and brothers, Mayo, Charlie and Haywood Taylor. He loved his wife dearly and had such a pure heart. He was a best friend to his grandchildren, he taught them to shoot a gun, cast a rod and bait a hook. He had a kind heart and always wanted to help everyone. Mr. Taylor worked on Tug Boats for many years, he was a proud member of Frog’s Hunt Club.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Day Family Cemetery, 15606 Carrollton Blvd, Carrollton, VA 23314.
