Fletcher Glover Edwards, Jr.

Fletcher Glover “F.G.” Edwards, Jr., 95, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in Obici Hospital. He was born in Isle of Wight County, January 20, 1923, the son of the late Georgie Kennie Whitley and Fletcher Glover Edwards, Sr. F.G. was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and on several committees. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 69 years Nancy, daughter Connie White, grandson Keith (Amanda), three great grandchildren, Aubrey, Adalynn and Ainsley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Smithfield Baptist Church with the Dr. Donald R. Rhoton officiating . A reception will be held following the service in the Family Life Center. Burial will be private.
