Evelyn Chapman Jones

Evelyn Chapman Jones, 79, of Front Royal, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster Chapman and Garnell Holland Chapman. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 62 years, Cecil Wilson Jones, Sr.; daughters, Tammy J. Johnson (Brad) and Tracy J. Atsiknoudas; son, Cecil W. Jones, Jr; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Spady and Shirley Martin; a brother, Danny Chapman (Terry); and a special dear friend, Carmen Allen. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Michael Atsiknoudas. Mrs. Jones moved to Front Royal, with her husband Cecil who was Pastor at Community Tabernacle. There they built their forever home, overlooking the skyline drive with mountain views in every direction. She loved her family and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, 2:30 p.m. at Little’s Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery, Suffolk, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
