Ernest Leroy McGee, Sr., 81, passed away at his home on October 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Marie Southall McGee and his step daughter, Katherine Jean Wilson. He is survived by his step son, Charles Lee Rhodes; daughter, Juanita Marie Goins and son, Ernest Leroy McGee, Jr.; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ernest was a veteran ship builder at Newport News Shipbuilding from April 5, 1972 until he retired on February 29, 2008.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
