Eric E. Kamenitzer

Eric E Kamenitzer passed away on January 13, 2023 after an extended illness. Born in New Jersey Eric was the son of the late Jacob and Reinalda (Soto) Kamenitzer.  Eric served with the US Army Special Forces and Intelligence/Counterintelligence Operations primarily in Southeast Asia. He had more than 30 years management experience in Government contracting. After retiring in 2017, Eric enjoyed tending to the gardens at his Smithfield home and honing his home improvement skills. Eric is survived by his wife Karen (Hollinger), siblings Lisa Cirrincione, Edward Kamenitzer (Suella), Odette Mannix (Robert), cousin Ronald Kam (Maria), cousin Richard Kamenitzer (Rose Marie), and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Obici nursing staff and Sentara Hospice for their care and compassion. At Eric’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
