Ellen Virginia Gianettino

Ellen Virginia Gianettino, 64, of Newport News, VA, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Byron Ball and Virginia Isabel Riley Ball. She is survived by husband of twenty-two years, David Wayne Gianettino; daughter, Amber Reeves; grandchildren, Kahlan, Addelyn, Reagan and Skyler; in laws, David and Carolyn Gianettino; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen graduated from Warwick High School in 1980. She worked for the Newport News Department of Human Resources for twenty-five years. She was a devoted fan of the Peninsula Pilots baseball, the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Braves, and also enjoyed Nascar. Known for her loving Spirit she would go out her way for anyone, her love for her husband was unconditional. Ellen will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 2 p.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA. The family will receive friends following the service.
