Elizabeth "Betty" Irene Schwartz

Elizabeth ''Betty'' Irene Schwartz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of July 14 at the age of 83 with family by her side.

Born on March 11, 1942 in Newport, R.I., Elizabeth was a devoted wife and mother, and a great friend to many, known for her kindness, generosity, love of art, gardening, and beekeeping, just to name a few of her many interests.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Myron Robert ''Bob'' Schwartz, her children, including sons, Wayne Champigny, and wife, Christine, Rodney Schwartz and Steven Schwartz, and her daughter Susan Sene and husband Randy, and her granddaughter Abby Sene, and her brother and sister, Paul Simons and wife Ali, and Pauline Trahan-Lewis and husband Jim, along with many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma J. Stone.

A celebration of life for Elizabeth will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Healing Waters Worship Center located at 12172 Smiths Neck Rd., Carrollton, VA 23314. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00am to 12:00pm with the memorial service starting at 12:15pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Smithfield Riverside Hospice.
