Donald Douglas Wise

Donald D. Wise born September 30th. 1934 to Dallas and Irene Wise, passed away at home in Carrollton, VA on November 29th. 2022 after an extended illness. 

A proud Army Veteran serving active combat duty in the Korean War, he was honorably discharged October 6th, 1955.

Don had a deep passion for skeet shooting, holding a lifetime membership to the Old Hickory Gun Club in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. 

Upon retirement from PPG in 1992, Don enjoyed several part time jobs with the most fulfilling being associated with Apple Shamrock Dairy Farm in Townville, PA., where Rob and Chris treated him like family.

Survivors include wife of 67 years, Jean, daughter, Sharon Fontenot of China, TX, sons, Phil and wife Cindy as well as Tim and wife Kim of Yorktown VA. 7 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Sisters: Donna Davison and husband Bobby, Lois Moore and husband Ed. Brother: Lyle and wife Madeline. 

Preceded in death by parents, sons, Jeff, David and John.  Also preceded by sisters Carol Cornell and Sandra Sibble, brothers Fred and Alan.
