Donald Wayne Lundie

Donald Wayne Lundie transitioned peacefully into the next life surrounded by family on 23rd August 2026, 12 days after his 80th birthday. He was born to Oscar and Peggy Lundie on 12th August 1946 in Petersburg, Virginia.

He attended and graduated from Virginia Tech and Medical College of Virginia. After attaining his full medical licensure, he moved to Smithfield where he contributed his talents to the Smithfield Medical Center practice where he stayed until retirement with Sentara St Lukes. He was well known and respected in the community by all of his patients and nursing staff.

He was passionate about gardening and tinkering in his workshop.

He leaves behind to remember him his wife Mary (Molly), sister Jean Williams, son Reid and daughter Mary, and granddaughter Cassie.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
