Donald Scott Dykstra

Donald Scott Dykstra, 79, of Carrollton VA, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was the son of the late George Herman William Dykstra and Norma Eileen Miller Dykstra.

Mr. Dykstra was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Joan Elizabeth Sorensen Dykstra. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Anne Dykstra (Geoffrey Martin Fritz); and a brother, Daryl Dykstra; nieces, Jennifer Dykstra, Katie Dykstra and Meghan Wilkins (Jimmy); and a nephew Aaron Sorenson; and many cousins.

Mr. Dykstra was a patron of Riverside Healthy Living, Smithfield. He had a love for animals and enjoyed riding and showing horses.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, 2 p.m. at Littles Funeral Home, Smithfield, VA. Burial will take place at a later date at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA.
